There's always Hope...
The dark is not so dark – not really. When surrounded with darkness and uncertain which way to go (or not to go) just be still for a while. It doesn’t take long for our eyes to become accustom to the lack of light – that’s really all it is. There’s still light – just not so much of it.
Even though our eyes have grown accustom to the dark, sometimes there isn’t enough light around to help us find our way so that’s where our other senses come into it I guess.
One of those senses is touch. Very handy sense I might say. Not the same as sight but not bad at all – actually – it can be rather nice. We could always run around in the dark and when we hit something we could change our course till we hit something again.
One could navigate by sound like bats. They are incredibly clever creatures who make sounds and judge their way by receiving back the sound they and the other bats make. Cute little things too!
Hmm, just a bit about sense, but you know what?
Common sense! Now there’s a good one. That’s the one that alerts us to pay our electricity bill before they cut it off.
Yeah – sight, sound, taste, touch, and smell are all really good senses. But the one that’s called ‘common’ and isn’t really common at all – that’s a really good one. Actually, while I sit here in the dark, I’m thinking to myself perhaps it’s the best one of all!

Just saw a movie, that was very interesting, after gardening all day (sat.)...

Oh!, the movie:"Zeitgeist"
Availible on line for free at_ www.zeitgeistthe movie.com
It's about the world conspiracy of bankers to ruin our world with their plans for world domination. Just so they know, Contact me and I'll tell them where they can see the movie. I'm sure they just laugh at these measly fleas. They are the big dog.
Message at the end is "love conquers all." Hey ...Gotta run, My wife is home from the theater. Last night of a ten night run... community theater production of "Kiss Me Kate." Daughter, a dancer and ensemble
player. She had fun and also hated every minute. She's almost sixteen.
Bye from here, Rusty,... cuppa?
I have a question, if commom sense is supposed to be 'common' why is it so uncommonly demonstrated???
have a great day - hope you world is peaceful

In the dark is the best place for someone to find themself, I guess that is why I love the night. It gives a person a chance to sit in silence and contemplate. Sight seems to be a domineering force on a person's senses; common sense (the seventh sense)appears to be on the low end of priorities. The sixth sense is intuition and I know this one, every parent does.
Anyway, gonna stop chewin' on your ear so you can do what you want.

Common sense....some have and some haven't.
Some days we have even more and some days it flees.
But when it is around, you are right, it is good stuff.
We haven't brought propane for our barbecue yet, so were reduced to eating sandwiches for dinner. Candles everywhere was kind of romantic though. it was amazing how quiet it was without power. I suddenly realized how much background noise we no longer even notice.
And then the power came on and life went back to normal.
But I made a comment at Rosie's the other day, and I can't remember it now, but I get a "thought" comment from 'anexplorer'...today.
I appreciate what he is ponting out when he basically says, take the time to appreciate, what you have, because when all of the media and wiring and transmission is out of the way or lost_
...even for awhile, all we have ourselves and our thoughts,
and those we are with. What we appreciate_To live.
I have no point, but to appreciate the time, the moment, Anexplorer took to shoot that my way. For everyone here, We are the light and the path and the song.
It may not seem that holy, but everyone here knows life is precious.
Even if on some day_ things aren't going down- so good.
Stay calm and serve the company of the ones _ you are with.
Rosie, as always, you have always been on my wheel of blog visits.
I love your company. good night and good day.Rusty
Joey and I visited a cave recently and at one point of the tour, they shut off the lights so we could see absolute darkness.
We couldn't even see our hands right in front of our faces!
They said if we were to stay in the cave for 2 weeks without some light, we would go blind from our eyes trying to find light!
Hope you are having a good week.
Huggggggggggggggggggz,
Taylor

Come on over and see how to celebrate womanhood......bad hair days and all!
In his "An Essay Concerning Human Understanding," John Locke gives us an interpretation built on phenomenological experience. Each of the senses, he stated, gives input, and then something integrates the sense-data into a single impression. This "something" Locke interpreted as the common sense — the sense of things in common between disparate impressions.

Speaking of sense and Sensability and darkness. did you take part last March 2007 when the environmental campaign called Earth Hour asked residents of Sydney to turn off all lights in their homes for one hour?? I'm putting up a post about it today.
