There's always Hope...

 Pig Dog...
Back to Full Blog

I feel like this little pig all the way through the movie 'Babe'. I feel stupid and useless. I feel disappointed and afraid. But there's too much to lose if I give those feelings the power they ruthlessly demand from me. So they starve and scream in anger - they inflict pain and demand that I stop. They don't know me very well, do they? If they did - they wouldn't be so agressive - it only spurs me on to reach higher.

Here is who i am. A pig out of her element...

There is always hope...

You mustn't feel that way. Things are always worse than what we think. Tomorrow is another day.

The story of pig was an inspiration and rather than the pig being stupid I always saw him as young and innocent.

Finally the sun came out! I've said that fifteen times today. Warm spring sun, then cold dark clouds, and sometimes even the softest most featheriest little 'not even snow', but frozen whispery teardrops falling about in a breeze, and one time_ snow beans or ice pellets fell. We are in a transitional phase of coming out of rain, and ice and snow. 79 degrees a week ago_ down into the twenties at night and high 40's in the day. Winter won't leave, but yours is on the way... after fall. Is fall beautiful in Australia?

In all seriousness, Rosie, I needed a break from the concerns of the day. To wit: I want to_(I wish to), [I would be very happy] if I could write. No, not that line,...More///My ability to learn_ to write... in a way that doesn't get me into trouble...comes into question. That was a very tortured... pause. In essence, I want it, 'speech'(written passages),(my conversations), my terpsichore(muse)///to convey beauty and aspiration/inspiration and intrigue and no signs of decay or warp't-ness.

I say conversation, because I am thinking of you, as I write. It is inspiring to know that you have been here for all of us for this long while, and I hope you know that we love you, and you aren't at all like that little piggy, no, not at all.

Maybe that wasn't your point, but I was thinking maybe_ you were down about the classes you're taking at University. I read somewhere that you had something of a bad go with some class.

Obviously, today is not the day of my reprise. I can only hope that you will not think my entreaty...cracking wise. I have only the highest regard for the deft touch of your fingers to the electronic keys. I am rewriting that passage(no longer here), because it was an attempt at guessing at what might be getting in the way of your joy.

You are such a great creative person and the way you connect with people is so beautiful, and I have received your blessing thoughts...so I know. A bunch of cyber flowers/voom!...I love you, for all that you do...And that is the whole truth. I remember. Your stories were(are) always beautiful. "Were"_ What is that?
I am not sure, but I can only think and hope that my true honest attempt at lifting your spirits has succeeded,.. In some most cyber of reality ways.

I have you in my prayers, which I will begin to say, tonight, because I haven't prayed(perfectly) in a long time, not in the most effective way, which is what I will have to learn. Rosie, you are a crowning jewel in the legacy of how the 'stream', came to be. Of course, there were others, but you have done so much for so many, and I am just going on, but I don't care. I want to lift you up to a place, where you can see your future, is now. Be strong, be well, and love always.

There is Always Hope...

P.S. I am listening to a recording of a choir singing _
the music and visions of Hidegard von Bingen, CD_"The Origin of Fire"
sung by the Anonymous 4 (four real female singers/named)
Beautifully produced recording of liturgical, inspired, visionary, trumpet, french horn tones(their voices). The sound so pure and cleansing. I am amazed.

Waiting for daughter this afternoon at library
read about Hildegard von Bingen in book on Middle Ages,12th century,
religious visionary, saint, inspired, honored guest. Just beautiful.
Harmoni Mundi label. Cd from the library. didn't get book..(it).more winter reading.

I have to go, my wife,'M', on way home_ raining and sun right now, mid 40's. It was snowing when I mowed the lawn last evening. Also before that... "call-ring-ring"_ wife no.2 called, son's mom...she wants ride to graduation. We all have such brilliant lives, who has time to be bored.
I've been there : bored, hopeless, out of love, seemingly insane, lost. Am I found ...I don't know, but I stopped guessing and have gotten on with putting a real life together. ,cuppa?
God Bless and Remember..."There is Always Hope..." Rusty

Rosie - the important thing is to not give up or give in! Strive to do your best whether different than another or what is expected - to be oneself is the goal! I loved this movie - have not watched it in a while- maybe need a refresh! Take care and keep on - June

Rosie, did you know I have a Rosie in my life, we have nicknamed her Rosie O'Doggle, she is spunky and we love Rosie O'Donnell. Well, I put you in that spunky category, maybe it is the Rose is a Rose thing,
maybe not, maybe it is just you have always let your light shine through and I have always basked in it.
