There's always Hope...

 Ok...

I’ve taken you for granted

It isn’t intentional

It seems to happen all by itself

You’re there… just there

And I get so used to it

It’s a nice thing to know you’re there

I wonder sometimes why you matter

Why you matter so much to me

I wonder what it is about you

I just can’t seem to move away

Walking all around trying to find a way in

…but being outside is better than nothing at all

Not either too far away or too close

Being held at arms length

Is being held none the less

But your words are pleasant to my ears

Your touch is soothing to my soul

…I am grateful for the moments…

 Welcome...

Beloved persons enter our lives disguised

Not through the door, into our lives with out permission

They make themselves at home in our houses, yards

But most of all – in the most tender part of our hearts

They are not what we wanted

We didn’t go out to find them - Not at all!

But it’s as though they should always have been here

That tender part of our heart…?

It was made just for them – a perfect fit – and we didn’t even know it!

Unwanted, unloved

Chased, kicked, frightened, alone

A waste of space

A waste of life

Someone’s irresponsibility

Welcome home you big mutt

Welcome home our beautiful ‘Big Boy’

It’s so nice to finally meet you…

 There's always Hope...

Warm air brushed her cheek, fluttering an eye lash. Both of her eyes closed automatically. When they opened, though she’d been gazing for sometime at the scene before her, it was as if for the first time again and try as she might it was all she could do to drink it in.

The white capped mountain tops suggested cool winter weather, yet the air was warm and sweet. Like an almost summer morning; where the bees come out early to start their long day of gathering from the riot of spring flowers in full bloom.

Alone, she sat among the tall clover leaves; an attempt at being part of the world erupting all around her. Lost in the moment, Rachael reach to pick a pink clover flower and while chewing on its stalk freedom of the moment flowed uninhibited; washing tightness from her muscles soothing the lines from her face.

There are moments in a person’s life that make life worth its price to be lived. I guess life kisses are one of those things that need to be few, in order to give each of them the power we need from them. The power to spark into flame - hope…

 G'day...

You know we who are human? Well we’re the same. We try to be different but I think the only way to be a different human than all other humans is to be not human. We all have hair and the ones of us who don’t have hair know it because we all have hair except for the ones who don’t, but they aren’t alone either. The humans who don’t have hair are still humans; it’s just that they don’t have hair. Some people try to be the same as hairless people by constantly getting rid of their hair one way or another but they’re all still human.

When other humans notice people with a different colour skin or a different kind of face and point the finger saying that those ones aren’t human? Well, it doesn’t really matter what other humans say, human beings generally be… well… human. For some strange reason I tend to think that all of this makes sense.  There are other beings that aren’t human though.

When a creature is being a dog, it isn’t being a human. That’s up to the humans to be. The dog is being a dog. Personally I think it’s the dogs responsibility do be a dog and not a human. But that’s just me.

I think affectionately towards the not so human people. The people that aren’t really human. I don’t know if I’ve ever met any, but if I had I probably wouldn’t know unless they told me but I fear that if they did tell me and I thought they looked awfully like a human that’s being human, I just might not believe them.

Oh! That would be terrible!

I don’t really know who’s a human being and who’s being human and others who’re just being human like. But I do know that my dog is doing a very good likeness of a dog being a dog. It comforts me when she behaves like that – whether she’s actually a dog or not.

So I guess it’s all good? Mind you… that was just a guess…
