Waiting…

I was doing some water exercises in our tub and I hurt myself. It hurts! Ouch even! It’s hurting now, so this is going to be short.

Then, the computer caught a really bad cold – perhaps even the flu. It was starting to develop pneumonia, so I called in my specialist son, our personal computer doctor and he injected our computer with some special medicines. It’s much better now and I’m getting better too.

Something that’s just a little bit beautiful and a lot curiously clever is that – I understand now. I need to feel hurt so I can understand when someone else hurts – and I understand a bit better now. My computer understands me a little better too I think. Well… perhaps? 

I love the way that in everything, there just that little bit of beautiful. Ouch! I’m going to rest now. Be encouraged!

There’s always hope…

There are amazing things in this world that seem far outside what we can imagine. Many of these magical miracles are too great for me to see. No matter how hard I seek and search for them – regardless of how much I squint, glare and stare – they hide from view.

How can such things exist always barely beyond the tips of our fingers for most of our lives, until that one miraculous morning we wake up to a new day, and during that day we find them where they’ve always been - right there in front of us… waiting... waiting for that special day to finally arrive.

Every day can be ‘that’ day. Everyday, if we’re willing to learn something new. Things have always been there waiting for us to magically find them. It is a miracle. That’s what magic is. It’s true, there are such amazing things in this world, so far outside what we can imagine.

Patience.

That day will come - and we will find.

The sun was blasting out of the sky and the fall out burned up the country side. We didn’t care. We three were splashing and playing in the river under the shade of the great weeping willows.

Don’tcha just love floating on your back listening to the water gurgle and trickle as it makes its journey to the sea?

As this 45 year old woman, harkens back to the little girl of yester-year, I’m filled with feelings that can’t be expressed. I can actually hear my friends laughingly splash about in the clear fresh water; the care free play of those lost in the act of… in the pursuit of… their choice of
